Lease With Option


Leasing with an option to buy is one of the latest

trends and I have done several of these over the years. While there are many variations, the only ones I work on is a straight lease with first right of refusal or right to buy at the end of the lease at an agreed upon price. So unlike some lease to buy option the rent does not become part of the down payment, the rent is rent and never returned. I have several clients from overseas that prefer to rent the unit they want to buy for a short term to familiarize themselves with the area and then later exercise the right to buy.

Some buildings seem to attract this type of activity more so than others including Celebrity Place at 77 Maitland, The Vu at 112 George and Verve at 120 Homewood Avenue.
