HELP US CREATE A FUTURE WITHOUT BREAST CANCER
Dear Friends:
On behalf of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and RE/MAX, I would like to extend an offer to you to participate in The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation: Yard Sale For The Cure presented by RE/MAX PREMIER INC.
Yard Sale For The Cure is an annual fundraising event where a series of yard sales simultaneously take place in selected neighbourhoods across Canada, in support of The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. It began in 2005, when Rachael Smith held the first yard sale in her Toronto Beach community. Now a signature fundraiser for the Foundation, Yard Sale For The Cure has raised over $725,000.00 to date for breast cancer research, awareness and education.
RE/MAX Premier is proudly hosting its second annual yard sale for the cure on Saturday May 28, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and is asking for your assistance by donating goods that may be cluttering your garage, basement or storage shed that are easily transportable. Suitable items for donation would include gently used (or new) items that you would consider buying, such as:
- Small furniture items (chairs, end tables, lamps, etc.);
- Toys, bikes;
- Household items;
- Tools;
- Books, DVDs, CDs;
- Functioning electronics;
- Gently used handbags, shoes, gowns (such as communion/prom dresses);
- Etc.
Please refrain from donating items you would not typically buy at a garage sale.
Don’t have anything to donate? Cash donations are welcome. We invite you to come by and enjoy the day with us. Please feel free to get involved. We can use volunteers. Invite your friends and family to shop and join in the yard sale. It will be a fun filled family event with food, entertainment, and raffle draws.
Thanks to countless events and many supporters, the Foundation funds the most promising developments in scientific research and the best initiatives in community education. It all starts with people like you. Together we can make real change happen!

We invite you to participate in our 2nd annual Yard Sale for the Cure hosted by Re/Max Premier Inc. being held on Saturday May 28th, 2011.
This year our goal is to raise $10,000! To achieve this goal we are asking for your donations. Donations may include:
- Merchandise;
- Company gift baskets;
- Company vouchers;
- Company coupons.
Tax receipts can be issued to your company for items over $200 (retail value before taxes). Your donated items will be part of our raffle draw. This year we are offering the opportunity for local businesses to rent a table at a cost of $200.00, where you will have the opportunity to sell your company’s items at a discounted price.
