Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Silvia worked at the University of Toronto for 20 years, managed the family business, and co-ordinated a home stay program for foreign students. She has also donated her time acting as chairperson for fund raising endeavors  ( Hospitals, community - schools and recently  The Brazilian Ball) and most importantly, devoted her time to raising her family.

Silvia has lived in and travelled extensively abroad, has an understanding of various cultures, speaks fluent Spanish  (Colombian born) and understand Italian and Portuguese.
